SERIES – After one season, the broadcast of “High Fidelity” will not be renewed on the US broadcast platform Hulu. On Instagram, actress Zoe Kravitz who starred in the series posted a thank you message to her colleagues. She took the opportunity to highlight the lack of diversity of the platform according to her.
“I would like to thank the entire ‘High Fidelity’ family. Thank you for all the love and heart you have put into this series. I am in awe of each of you. And thanks to everyone who saw, loved, and supported us. #LesRupturesSontNulles ”.
American actress Tessa Thompson responds in her post: “I will miss you all.” To which the “Big Little Lies” star responds, “Okay. At least Hulu has other shows showing women of color that we can watch. Whatever is…”
The disappointment of the fans
If Zoe Kravitz is disappointed in this ending, she is not the only one. Many people reacted to the cancellation of the series.
“Is ‘High Fidelity’ really canceled after giving us this heroin?” Laments a fan of the show.
“It was too strong for Hulu, so they stopped ‘High Fidelity,’” wrote another.
“Oh, I loved ‘High Fidelity’ so much! It’s sad news, ”writes American actress Mindy Kaling.
“‘High Fidelity’ was a good series with black and bisexual protagonism, it showed how young people in their 20s and 30s struggle to understand who they are, it was fun, it broke the 4th wall …”, lists this other disappointed fan.
Originally, “High Fidelity” was an adaptation of a novel by Nick Hornby. In its first ten episodes, the series dealt with romantic relationships through pop culture and music.
After the spiel from Zoe Kravitz and fans, Hulu has yet to respond to the criticism.
