Voting is secret, individual and direct, as provided for in the Venezuelan Constitution. But this mandate, like so many others in the Magna Carta, falls on deaf ears, depending on who is affected. If you are indigenous, your obligations are the same as the others, but your rights are not: your vote will not be secret, individual or direct.

Minority ethnic groups in Venezuela will not appear at the polls on December 6, like any other citizen, but will vote hand in hand with some delegates who will subsequently elect, on behalf of the community, the deputies who will represent them at the Assembly.
