Paraguay and Aecid join forces to rescue the iconic Ypacaraí lake | Society | America Edition

The Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (Aecid) and several Paraguayan organizations launched on Monday an awareness campaign on the serious deterioration of Lake Ypacaraí, within a program that involves the use of water drones to monitor the status of this heritage touristic. and environmental impact of Paraguay.

The Hispanic-Paraguayan project, which will last for a month, aims to carry out a comprehensive and long-term plan involving the authorities and the entire Paraguayan society in the rescue of the lake, located about 30 kilometers from Asunción and today damaged by pollution , the dumping of waste from nearby industries and the lack of comprehensive water management.
