Olaf Scholz the “good” SPD candidate for chancellor

SPD Eastern Commissioner and Saxon State President Martin Dulig welcomed the decision of the SPD federal leadership to appoint Olaf Scholz as chancellor candidate for the 2021 federal elections. Dulig said Monday in Dresden that he was happy his party was making sure the situation was clear from the start. With him, the SPD made the right offer to voters to “continue on the path they have chosen and lead the country well through the crisis”.

Scholz has shown in state and federal policies “that he can master crises and challenges in a resolute and responsible manner,” Dulig stressed. It also means strengthening social cohesion and respect for people. “We do not need neoliberal experiences, but a clear path to strengthen the social and fight against inequalities in our country”.
