SEATTLE (AP) – Daniel Murphy hit a key home run in two runs and two runs, Garrett Hampson and Charlie Blackmon made home runs each and the Colorado Rockies won their sixth win in seven games on Friday by winning 8-4 the Seattle Mariners.
The Rockies, leaders of their division, won their fifth game of six against teams from the Western Division of the American League.
Murphy’s pair in the sixth round ended Seattle holder Yusei Kikuchi and gave Colorado a 4-1 lead on the scoreboard.
Colorado holder Antonio Senzatela (3-0) scored the victory after launching six solid entries in which he allowed three runs, two of them won and five fans. An Austin Nola home run in the sixth round, which reduced the Rockies’ revenue to 4-3, was the only major setback in Senzatela’s departure.
Kikuchi (0-1) took the defeat after allowing six hits and four plate appearances in 5 2/3 innings. In its last opening, it launched six blank episodes.
Through the Rockies, Venezuelan Elías Díaz 4-2, with a scheduled race.
