Mexico was not left behind before the call international humanitarian aid that came after the terrible explosion on the 4th of August at Port of Beirut, that left at least 135 dead and 5,000 injured, as it will give USD 100,000 to support the Lebanese Red Cross response plan.
The Chancellor Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon through a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), reported by instructions from President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Mexico would send resources to Lebanon.
The document details that the monetary contribution will come National Fund for International Development Cooperation (Foncid) – Humanitarian Aid Fund – of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID).

Mexican funds will support the country’s response plan Lebanese Red Cross, in support of the International Federation of Red Cross Societies It’s from Red Crescent.

It must be remembered that international aid started arriving in Lebanon the day after the unfortunate incident, which was caused after Explosion of 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate, stored “without precautionary measures”.
Last Tuesday, the day of the events, the Lebanese Prime Minister, Hasan Diab, made an “urgent appeal to all friends and sister countries.”
So far some 20 nations and international organizations responded or have announced their intention to do so in the form of medical-sanitary material, as well as by sending doctors and experts to assess the consequences of the explosion at the environmental level and of infrastructure that has not been destroyed.
Michael Ryan, Director of the World Health Organization’s Emergency Program (Who), stated that the referred UN agency “started to send trauma and surgery kits from your regional warehouse in Dubai”. “We also have emergency medical teams ready to deploy,” he added.

Regardless of, Lebanese President Michel Aoun rejected an international investigation on Friday about the gigantic explosion in the port of Beirut and said it could have been caused by “negligence” or “a missile”.
Aoun indicated that he had been informed of the presence of this merchandise on 20 July and that he asked the Supreme Defense Council to do what was necessary.
