Fernando Alonso hopes to be “competitive enough and fight for victory” | Sports | America Edition

Spaniard Fernando Alonso will face for the third time the challenge of reaching the triple crown by winning the Indianapolis 500 – he has already won the Monaco F1 Grand Prix in 2006 and 2007 and the LeMans 24 Hours in 2018 and 2019-, and he says who expects his team, the Chevrolet-powered Arrow McLaren SP, to be “competitive enough to fight for victory this year”.

“I hope that this year we will be competitive enough to fight for victory. Right now, before we start training, we are optimistic as we were last year. We must wait and see how much pace we have, “said the two-time F1 world champion with Renault -2005 and 2006- in statements at a press conference collected by the soymotor website.
