A man drove with his two-year-old son in Ansbach on a so-called e-skateboard. But that’s not all: Police said the 34-year-old had attached a stand for the toddler on Wednesday. The vehicle can thus reach a speed of up to 40 kilometers per hour, which is controlled by remote control. It is steered by shifting the weight like a normal skateboard.
“A driving license and insurance are therefore compulsory to participate in road traffic,” officials said. “However, since no insurer insures such a vehicle against the dangers of road traffic, the father has also not been able to show why the e-skateboard is safe.” Criminal proceedings were initiated against the man after the check on Tuesday.
