Corona tests have started at airports in Saxony

The first corona tests for returning travelers began this weekend at airports in Saxony. How many holidaymakers could be screened, she could not yet say, but the offers had definitely been accepted, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Social Affairs said in Dresden on Sunday. Details are expected to be announced in Dresden on Monday. Then the test centers officially start.

This weekend, Bulgarian, Greek and Spanish planes landed at the airports of Leipzig-Halle and Dresden. Anyone entering or returning to Saxony from abroad via the airports of Leipzig-Halle and Dresden can be tested for free. According to the ministry, a residence or permanent residence in Saxony is not necessary.

The Free State has entered into an agreement with the Association of Legal Physicians of Health Insurance for examination centers. Saxony covers staff costs, health insurance covers laboratory costs.
