Corona does not spread to homes for people with disabilities

The corona virus has no longer spread in a home for the disabled in Bernstadt (district of Görlitz). As the Görlitz district office announced on Friday, the number of infections remained constant at 40 compared to the previous day. 30 residents of the house and ten employees are concerned.

The health department had already issued a quarantine on Wednesday. In order to ensure the care and support of residents, there are special regulations for nursing staff, he said. It is allowed to remain in the domestic environment as well as in the care establishment so that the operation can continue to be safe.

As of Friday, 5,624 corona virus infections were detected in Saxony. That’s 36 more than the day before and a relatively large increase. For a long time, the number of new infections recorded in Saxony was in single digits, but it has again been in double digits in recent days. 32 cases were added to the district of Görlitz alone. The death toll remained unchanged at 224.
