CDMX does not circulate today: Monday, August 10

This one Monday, August 10, 2020 Drivers who must follow the Hoy No Circula program are those who have a vehicle with yellow label and termination plates 5 and 6, in addition to verification hologram 1 and 2.

These restrictions will take effect from 5:00 am on Monday to 10:00 pm in the Metropolitan Area of ​​the Valley of Mexico, as attested by the regulation approved by the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe).

It should be remembered that the Metropolitan Area of ​​the Valley of Mexico is formed by 16 mayors of the CDMX and 18 municipalities in the State of Mexico who are: Atizapán de Zaragoza, Coacalco de Berriozábal, Cuautitlán, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Chalco, Chicoloapan, Chimalhuacán, Ecatepecán Morelos , Huixquilucan, Ixtapaluca, La Paz, Naucalpan de Juárez, Nezahualcóyotl, Nicolás Romero, Tecámac, Tlalnepantla de Baz, Tultitlán and Valle de Chalco.

Cars with a double zero, zero, electric and hybrid hologram will be able to circulate without restrictions, as established by the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe).

Mobile sources or vehicles registered abroad or Federative Entities other than the Federal District, State of Mexico and States that enter into approval agreements for the vehicle verification process, or that do not carry the verification hologram, or that carry a non-hologram recognized by the Federal District, its circulation is limited, one day of the week and every Saturday, regardless of the last numeric digit, from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm; as well as, in the morning hours from Monday to Friday, from 05:00 to 11:00.

The Hoy No Circula Program does not apply to cars with a license plate for the disabled, emergency and funeral services, as well as public transport and emergency services.

Vehicles and drivers of mobile origin or vehicles that circulate on the roads and roads of the Federal District that fail to comply with the measures provided for in this Program, will be entitled to the sanctions established in the Regulation of the Environment Law of the Federal District on Vehicle Verification; as well as in the Metropolitan Transit Regulation or the one that replaces it and other applicable provisions, without prejudice to its withdrawal from circulation and forwarding to the vehicle garage, where they must remain until the payment of the corresponding fine and in the case of vehicles stopped during a Environmental Contingency, it will also be necessary to wait for its conclusion.


The environmental agency will issue a notice suspending the application of this Program, on holidays, non-working days, mandatory rest days or during vacation periods, considering that the air quality does not create a risk to the health of the population, which will be determined through the analysis of climatic conditions, the monitoring of air quality and the concentration of pollutant emissions in the Federal District or Megalopolitan Region.


Motor vehicles are expected to travel to check-in centers in Mexico City as of the following month, according to the new calendar established by the Megalopolis Environmental Commission (CAMe) after the closure of establishments due to the coronavirus pandemic. the verification schedule is as follows:

Second half

  • June and July: plates ending 5 and 6 (with yellow gum)
  • July and August: dishes with ends 7 and 8 (with pink gum)
  • August and September: plates with ends 3 and 4 (with red gum)
  • October and November: plates with ends 1 and 2 (green gum)
  • November and December: plates ending 9 and 0 (with blue gum)

In the case of the yellow sticker (plaque 5 or 6), the Ministry of the Environment reported that it was able to close the investigation period, since the dates corresponding to it for carrying out the process were the months of January and February.

Keep in mind that the provisional opening date for verification centers is August 10 this year.
