In its most recent epidemiological bulletin, the office reported that the total number of infected people reached 3,109,630 people, while the number of deaths rose to 103,026.
Likewise, according to the portfolio report, the South American giant, which remains the epicenter of the pandemic in Latin America, recorded a death rate of 49 deaths on Tuesday and an incidence of 1,479.7 people infected with 100 thousand inhabitants.
The data also show that 2,243,124 patients have already recovered in the country from the new coronavirus, among them the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, several governors and ministers, which represents 72.1% of the total infected in this nation of 210 million people. people.

In absolute number of deaths, the states of São Paulo (with 639,562 confirmed cases and 25,571 deaths), Rio de Janeiro (182,563 infected and 14,212 deaths) – both in the Southeast – and Ceará (190,550 infections and 8,011 deaths), in the impoverished Northeast , remain the most affected by the pathogen.
Considering the number of infections, São Paulo, Bahia – in the Northeast region, with 190,550 infected and 4,067 deaths – and Ceará, appear as the three most affected among the 27 Brazilian states.
Despite the high numbers, Brazil is experiencing relative stability in the pandemic and some of the states most affected at the beginning, such as Amazonas, where the hospital and funeral systems collapsed, advanced in the deceleration process and authorized the opening of several sectors, including the return to classes in public schools.
In the midst of the pandemic and the gradual return to economic activities in most regions, Brazil is committed to the effectiveness of vaccines being tested in the country.
The vaccine from the British University of Oxford, the government has already purchased 100 million doses and expects to produce it starting in December, while the Chinese laboratory Sinovac is being tested, in association with the Butantán Institute, a Latin American reference in immunology in São Paulo with 9,000 volunteers.
The Russian vaccine, the first registered against the new coronavirus on the planet, will be produced in southern Brazil through an agreement signed by the government of the state of Paraná with Russia, as announced by regional authorities on Tuesday, although the Agency of Surveillance Sanitaria (Anvisa) reported that it has not yet received the official authorization request from the Russian laboratory.
