Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) – SV Wehen Wiesbaden signed Marc Lais from SSV Jahn Regensburg. As the club announced on Tuesday, the defensive midfielder has signed a two-year contract with the third division football team. “Marc has been instrumental in the positive sporting development of SSV Jahn in recent years. His two goals in the relegation matches against TSV 1860 Munich will certainly not be forgotten,” said general manager Christian Keller. Recently, however, other players have had a better chance of playing in his place.
“Marc brings a lot of experience in the second and third division and will strengthen us in the central midfielder,” said Christian Hock, SVWW sporting director. Coach Rüdiger Rehm is also satisfied: “Marc always wants the ball, is extremely strong and has a very good passing game.” The 29-year-old is “a strong scout with a smart duel”. Lais is expected to support Wiesbaden on their way back to the 2nd Bundesliga. After Tim Boss, Gianluca Korte and Florian Carstens, he is the fourth newcomer from Hesse.
