Bavaria: Streibl for Corona traffic light – Bavaria

Munich (dpa / lby) – The leader of the Bavarian free voters parliamentary group Florian Streibl has proposed a “Corona traffic light” as in Austria in order to more precisely assess the local sources of infection. The corona outbreak at a cucumber farm in Mamming shows that the concept needs to be reviewed. For now, only new infections from the past seven days are being measured – if there are more than 35 per 100,000 population, a lockdown threatens. But that “does not take due account of the actual situation there,” Streibl said. A “corona traffic light” as in Austria would also include the proportion of positive tests in all tests, the explainability of the local focus of infection and the resources of the local health system.
