Bavaria: nearly 10,000 corona tests for travelers returning to Bavaria – Bavaria

Munich (dpa / lby) – Almost 10,000 travelers have been tested for the corona virus at Bavarian testing stations on the border with Austria and at main train stations in Munich and Nuremberg. The biggest rush was with more than 5,000 tests on Saturday, as a spokesperson for the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) in Munich announced on Twitter on Sunday. The three test stations on highways 3, 8 and 93 as well as at the main train stations in Munich and Nuremberg have been in operation since Thursday.

The BRK manages them with volunteers from other humanitarian organizations. Employees can take up to 13,000 smears per day. At the airports of Munich, Nuremberg and Memmingen, returning travelers can also be screened for free for Sars-CoV-2 virus infection.
