Munich – A man allegedly tried to blackmail FC Bayern Munich for 250,000 euros. The Munich I prosecution has already lodged a complaint against him in April, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the authority of the German press agency. This is a case dating back to 2019. At that point, the club reportedly received an email asking for the amount of money – “otherwise there would be a big bang”.
“We assume this was a threat to the publication of reputation allegations,” the prosecutor’s spokesperson said. He didn’t say exactly what it was.
It is still not clear when the trial in Munich District Court will begin. “The date is currently being agreed,” a court spokesperson said. FC Bayern initially did not comment on the case on request.
