Munich (dpa / LBY) – Former Munich mayor Christian Ude (SPD) discovered his affection for TSV 1860 Munich football club by accident. “I was never a real football fan. I was only in favor of 1860 because it was a fashion wave when I was in school,” the 72-year-old said in an interview. at the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” (Tuesday). Plus, goalkeeper Petar Radenkovic fascinated him as a guy. Ude, on the other hand, could not befriend the local competition, FC Bayern. “Later, the love of 1860 developed because I couldn’t tolerate Bayern’s arrogance. I was their opposition,” Ude recalls. “And as a decent Social Democrat you stick to the weakest anyway. And the Sixties got weaker and weaker too.”
