Munich (dpa / LBY) – Bavarian Minister for Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger (free voters) wants to give the 5,000 bars, clubs, discos and pubs in Bavaria a perspective during the Corona crisis. More and more revelers escape public space, resulting in conflicts with residents. “We must therefore find a demarcation in order to allow an opening: of course no disco and party operation will be possible, but there are border areas where one or the other bar can be established by offering the food, ”Aiwanger told the“ Münchner Merkur ”(Monday).
Declaring pretzel sticks and peanuts as food is not enough. Aiwanger set the lower limit for sausage rolls and chopsticks. “There are bars that have been postponed,” he told the newspaper.
Aiwanger is concerned that party-goers will retreat to private rooms, especially in the coming cold season. The state can no longer apply protection against infections. “Then grandma’s empty garage or apartment will be converted into a party room,” Aiwanger said. “You really have to be careful that there is no very high risk of infection here in private,” said the minister.
