Baden-Württemberg: water pumped from the pond: dozens of fish perish – Bavaria

Creglingen (dpa / lsw) – Because a stranger illegally pumped water from a pond in the Main-Tauber district, dozens of fish perished there. According to the police, Monday, it had already been found at the end of July that about 15,000 liters of water had been taken from the pond of Creglingen. As a result, the water level had dropped considerably. Six days later, the fish farmer, who has the right to fish there, first hid the dead fish from the pond – and the fish deaths continued over the following days. Around 30 pikeperch, sturgeon and whitefish have died from lack of oxygen, a police spokeswoman said. The number could increase further.
