This Friday, the Government of Argentina inaugurated infrastructure works in three prisons in the province of Buenos Aires, which include 364 new places, multipurpose rooms, schools and workshops and which seek to end the “overcrowding conditions” experienced by prisoners.

“For different reasons, society is abandoning the prison problem, we cannot continue to look undaunted by the overcrowded conditions in which Argentine prisons are found,” said President Alberto Fernández, of the presidential residence of Olivos, during the virtual inauguration ceremony. .
